Incognito Window

What is it? & When should you use it?

An incognito window, also known as private browsing mode, is a feature in web browsers that prevents your browsing history, cookies, site data, and information entered in forms from being saved on your device.

HOW TO USE IT:

Open your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).

Find and click on the menu (usually three dots or lines in the top-right corner).

Select “New Incognito Window” or “New Private Window

WHEN TO USE IT:

Privacy: Keeps your browsing history private from other users on the same device.

Testing: Useful for testing how websites appear to new visitors (without your saved preferences or cookies).

Multiple Accounts: Allows you to log into multiple accounts simultaneously.

Temporary Browsing: Ideal for quick searches or checking a website without leaving a trace.

Remember, while incognito mode hides your activity from your device, it doesn’t make you invisible online. Websites, ISPs, and other entities can still track your activity.
